Community Improvement Nancy Post Develops, maintains and prioritizes a list of endangered historic properties and researches alternatives to make their restoration possible
Courthouse Tours Sarah Pickard
Coordinates Ellis County Courthouse guides during the Gingerbread Trail and Bob Phillips Festival
Historic Markers Melissa Chapman  Provides and reviews applications for HWI markers and secures Board approval
Historic Signage Greg Nehib, Loren Boynton  Researches building and landmarks for placement of historic recognition plaques
Membership Becky Kauffman  Acquires new HWI members and maintains the list of current members
Nominating Greg Nehib  Elected in September consisting of 5 trustees and 3 general members; recommends new board members
Oral History John Wedel Interviews noteworthy local residents and transcribes their recordings to hard copies for historic preservation and research
Educational Programs Emily Finch Organizes programs and tours to educate HWI members and the general public
Publicity and Public Relations Chelsea Klepfer Informs and educates the community of HWI projects and activities, as well as local, regional, and national historic issues, through the HWI website, videos, newspapers and email
Social Harold Barnard, Teresa McNeil Plans and hosts HWI functions, including a holiday party and ice cream social as well as refreshments for other functions as needed
Facebook Chelsea Klepfer Administers, updates, and maintains the HWI Facebook page
Newsletter Sarah Pickard Quarterly writes and distributes the HWI newsletter to members
Website John Wedel Administers, updates, and maintains the HWI website
