If you live in a historic home – which is now any home built before 1975, you may be eligible for the City of Waxahachie Historic Property Tax Exemption. This program is administered by the City of Waxahachie Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC). It offers a 25% tax exemption of the full appraised value of your property, if your property qualifies. This is for City tax purposes only.
The deadline to apply is March 15, 2024.
