Spring Workshop: Historic Preservation Matters!

What is historic preservation and why is it important? Preservation expert, David Preziosi (Executive Director of Preservation Dallas), will answer these questions and more as he discusses the evolution of historic preservation in this country and why it is a valuable tool for helping to revitalize communities. Through an engaging presentation he will touch on how we define and classify historic places, the economic impact of historic preservation, incentives for preservation projects, and how advocacy efforts have led to saving important historic landmarks in Dallas.
Waxahachie’s Heritage Preservation Officer, Anita Brown, will also speak on historic tax exemptions and incentives offered to residential properties through the City. Don’t leave money on the table!
